§ 1.68.020. Board.

(a)

The Council Bluffs airport authority board shall be composed of seven members who shall be appointed by the mayor, with the concurrence of a majority of the city council. They shall be eligible electors of Pottawattamie County.

(b)

The board shall be the governing body of the authority, exercising all the rights, duties and powers conferred by this chapter on the authority.

(1)

All appointments shall be for a term of four years.

(2)

Each member will qualify by taking an oath to faithfully perform the duties of office.

(3)

The board shall elect a chairperson, a secretary, and a treasurer, each for a term of two years.

(4)

Board members and officers shall serve until their successors are duly elected and qualified.

(5)

A salary shall not be paid to a board member; however, each board member shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the performance of the member's duties.

All actions by the authority require an affirmative vote of a majority of the board.
