§ 9.40.040. Loading zones.

  • (a)

    There is hereby established a loading zone at 25 and 35 Main Place, which shall be no less than forty-five (45) feet in length. This and other loading zones established on city right-of-way or city-owned property will be designated with signage indicating "loading zone" and "no parking." Signage at some loading zones may also contain additional restrictions or instructions necessary at those specific locations.

    (b)

    The stopping or parking of any motor vehicle in any loading zone except for the express purpose of promptly loading or unloading people or property, as hereinafter set out, shall be unlawful.

    (c)

    Vehicles may park in a loading zone only long enough to promptly and exclusively, load or unload the vehicle.

    (d)

    Flashers shall be utilized continuously during the loading or unloading of the vehicle.

    (e)

    Unless specified otherwise, by signage or under the direction of an authorized city representative, no passenger vehicle shall occupy a loading zone for any period of time to exceed fifteen (15) minutes.
