Upon declaration of a vicious animal, the owner shall immediately surrender the animal
to the animal control division of community development. If the owner refuses to surrender
said animal, animal control officers and/or police officers are authorized to seize
said animal.
A vicious animal shall be placed in quarantine by the animal control division of community
development for a period of ten (10) calendar days. Said quarantine may be at the
animal shelter, a veterinarian's office, or other place approved by the administrative
authority.
Upon completion of the ten-day quarantine, the administrative authority may order
the destruction of said animal.
