§ 17.09.040. Complaints.

  • Any person who would like to make a complaint concerning alleged non-compliance with the provisions of this title with regard to any rental property shall do so in the following manner:

    (1)

    The complaint shall be signed and in writing upon a form (written or electronic) to be provided; and

    (2)

    The complaint shall state the address of the premises, the name of the owner or operator (if known), and the nature of the alleged violation with reasonable specificity.

    If it is a tenant making a complaint concerning the rental property in which he or she resides, the tenant shall attach a dated copy of the notice in which he or she requested the owner or operator to correct the alleged violation, unless the complaint pertains to an emergency situation.
